Your NMI Team is excited to serve our Lord in Missions. There are many ways to serve in Missions, so see below the list of ways you can be involved. “We are all called to be the hands and feet of Jesus” We model our Missions from Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem (Payette County), Judea (Idaho), Samaria (USA, Canada & Mexico), and to the Ends of the Earth (International).

Helping Hands Ministry (Jerusalem)
We partner with other church’s in our County to assist those who have food needs. Our church volunteers two Saturdays a month for Soup’s-On and the Payette Community Food Pantry.
2nd Sat/monthly Soup’s-On (an opportunity to serve the Lord by serving others)
4th Sat/monthly Food Pantry (for those in need of food assistance)
This is located at the Payette Christian Church, 906 2nd Ave N, Payette 208-642-2959. For more information, please contact Jim & Carol Forgey 208-550-0402 ( Debbie Powers, Brandon & Jill Thomas are team leaders). There is also a separate brochure that has more information in it.
Native American Christian Academy (Samaria)
This Christian school is located in Arizona. Our church is proud to help them with our “Box Top for Education” program. We have a friendly competition on who can turn in the most “box tops” and then we send them to the school where they can turn them in for well needed cash to purchase school supplies. This is an outreach to those in another state. For more information, please contact Vicki Reynolds at 208-230-5831
Love Inc. (Judea)
Love in the Name of Christ exists only to help churches mobilize their members to be the hands and feet of Christ in their communities. As Christians we are called to show the love of Christ to those in need. It is only by the love of Christ , through the Body of Christ, His people, that lives, burdened and broken by the world, can be transformed into wholeness. There are many ways to volunteer with them directly. For more information please contact, Ariel Wilson 209-230-0894
Compassion Child Sponsorship (Ends of the Earth)
Our church sponsors 4 children from around the world. We take a “Love” offering during Sunday school each week to support them outside the church budget. This helps provide a better life for these children. (Indonesia,, Peru, Zambia & Dominican Republic) For more information please contact, Shelly McGehee 208-739-2998
First Responders Appreciation Lunch (Jerusalem)
On September 11th we hold an appreciation lunch for our First Responders (Police/Sheriff/Fire/EMT/Dispatch/Military). These are brave individuals that have or will risk their lives to protect us from evil/harm and serve our community in many ways. They are important and we choose to love them by honoring them with a meal to say, Thank You! It may seem so little, but it means the world to them to know that we care about them. For more information please contact, Penny Winston 209-470-8691
Our team also schedules Missionaries that are home for a short time to come and share what is happening in the areas that they minister in. It is such a joy to hear the wonderful things that the Lord is doing through their obedience.
We have different offerings that are taken throughout the year for different ministries around world. The “Alabaster Offering” (February/September) is exclusively for buildings and properties in cross cultural ministries. The World Evangelism Fund (Easter and Thanksgiving) is for the General Nazarene fund to pay missionary salaries. World Missions Broadcast (June), is exclusively for radio ministry around the world, and TV and internet where available.
This year our church sent a team of 3 adults and 5 teens to Mexico (Samaria) to build a home (11’ x 22’) for a family of 6. We joined with the Baker church and together worked hard. The team mixed and poured the concrete foundation and did all the framing, roof and stucco. The group took several gifts, from curtains, to cleaning supplies and food items, to help the family make it a home. Even through the language barrier, the team went out of their way to try to communicate with the family and neighbors that came to see what they were doing. We are seeking God’s guidance for our next Mission project. For more information please contact, Penny Winston 209-470-8691.
We are always seeking God’s Will about new projects and locations and will report on those as God reveals them to us. How is God calling you to be a part His work through Payette Nazarene Missions?
